Red lentils are commonly available in all Indian stores. They are also quite cheap to buy and very nutritious in nature. In order to make a paste of red lentils, you would need to soak them overnight in a large quantity of water. The next morning, drain and then crush in a blender or food processor. This will give you fresh red lentil paste. If you need to make red lentil paste that is cooked, even then you should soak the red lentils in a large quantity of water and leave them overnight. The next morning, cook them in twice the amount of water only. If you have a pressure cooker, then add the lentils and double the amount of water and pressure cook for three whistles. This should work effectively. If you do not have a pressure cooker, use a heavy bottomed pan and add the lentils along with triple the amount of water and let this simmer till the lentils are all done. You can then use a beater to whip this into a paste.

There are also some other remedies you can use to get rid of freckles very effectively at home. Grate and squeeze out the juice of one large raw potato and apply this to your freckles. Leave it on till it dries and then wash with cold water. This will help to lighten them considerably. You can also do a quick instant bleach and clean up of your face by chopping an orange into two and scrubbing your face with it for a good 20 minutes. The difference will be instantly noticeable. Because you have freckles, you would need to do this everyday. But even otherwise, you can make it a permanent part of your weekly skin care schedule. You must also remember to always apply sunscreen before leaving the house.
