Malaria is a dangerous disease that is infectious. It basically gets transmitted by a plasmodium parasite that harbors itself in the female anopheles mosquito, who then spreads fro an infected person to a healthy person. The fever caused by the malaria virus is recurring, which means that it starts and stops again.

The disease is generally rampant in the tropical and sub tropical regions and is caused due faulty eating habits and lifestyle which causes the drop in the effectiveness of one's immune system and thus enables the malaria virus to spread more effectively in the affected patient's system. You can treat the malaria to a certain extent by following the home remedies mentioned below. These remedies are easy to prepare and are available at your local store as well.

The first thing you can do is try fasting on orange juice for a period of about 8- 16 days, accompany this with water as well for a better effect. Then follow a well balanced diet that contains a lot of fruit and vegetables. The second remedy is the application of a ice pack to the whole body to reduce the high temperature caused by the fever. The ice pack should be refreshed or replaced every three hours and should be placed o the patient's body for about one hour at a time. Grapefruit is also known to be effective in remedying malaria. Take a quarter portions of grape fruit and boil it. Strain the pulp and then drink it.

The vomiting sensation is the body's defense mechanism against toxic or harmful toxins in the body. This biological defense mechanism causes the forceful expulsion of the food substances present in the system, in order to clean the bowels. There is nothing that can be done to completely stop the vomiting but you can try these remedies to help lessen the frequency. Take two cardamoms and heat them on a dry pan. Powder the cardamoms and add to it a spoon of honey. Take this mixture frequently. In order to be able to drink liquids the best remedy is to drink electrolyte water, which can be bought from your local pharmacist.
