In order to naturally bring down your cholesterol levels, you can start with trying to lose excess weight and coming down to your recommended weight levels to begin with. If you have gone for a complete health check up, you should know what your optimum weight is supposed to be. Try to reach it as quickly as you can, and the changes in your overall health will become more noticeable.

The best way to lose weight quickly and properly is by beginning a daily routine of exercise and instantly eliminating all fats from your diet. This two-fold approach will help you to get the weight off and also keep it off. To begin with, try to formulate a routine of daily exercise for at least 30 minutes.

If you cannot reach this time quickly, then begin with however long it is possible for you to exercise and try to get to this time limit. Remember, this is a minimum time period of daily exercise you must do. If possible, increase the time as you go along and you will feel the difference.

The dietary changes you must make are to eliminate not only fatty foods from your diet, but also to avoid eating more food than is necessary. Overeating is always the bane of an unhealthy heart and body. Try you must determine to eat not more than 1,800 calories a day if you are a woman and not more than 2,000 calories day if you are a man. Anything beyond this, you should simply stop eating. You can divide this calorie count across the five or six small meals a day that you consume. Among the things you must avoid eating are red meat, which is cholesterol rich, egg yolks and bakery goods. Concentrate on green vegetables and fresh fruits for a healthier life and a better future.
