Although it is easy to control diabetes via a strict regimen of diet and exercise, success in your attempts would depend totally on how long you have had the disease. Chronic diabetes would require a controlled lifestyle as well as a regular dosage of drugs to keep in check. A complete medical examination will tell you what kind of drugs and dosages you would need.
A medical check will also reveal what kind of diabetes you have. There are two types of diabetes. One is wherein you have excessive blood sugar and you need to constantly work at bringing it down.
The other type of diabetes is when you have very low blood sugar and you need to constantly work to keep it at a normal level. Depending on which type of diabetes you have, you would need to work out a regimen of diet and exercise. In either case, however, you would need to follow some blanket rules to take care of the problem.
To begin with, you must drink about 60 ml of freshly squeezed bitter gourd juice every morning on an empty stomach. Bitter gourd has properties that will regulate your blood sugar, so it does not matter whether you have too much or too little sugar count. Just remember to have it freshly squeezed, as it has a tendency to begin fermenting within minutes of being squeezed. After this, drink a glass of hot water to which half a lime has been added. This is an effective anti toxin agent and it will also help you to lose weight. In any kind of diabetes, if is important to stay at your recommended weight. You should also avoid eating large meals at any given time. Large meals have a tendency to leave unresolved and indigested foods in your body so your blood sugar will keep fluctuating.
