You can start helping matters by adding a few drops of tea tree oil to your regular shampoo.


Tea tree oil is an anti-fungal and anti-bacterial substance that will help to clear up dandruff in a week or so.

Prepare a hair pack with a solution of whipped yogurt to which a few drops of lime have been added. This can be applied and left on fro a good hour. Make sure you apply it on the scalp specifically. This will work towards removing dandruff from the roots. The lime might make your scalp itch a little, but this simply means that it is working at clearing the dandruff out. As an alternate to using lime, you can also use camphor, which will have the same effects. You can also soak a few fenugreek seeds in a cup of water overnight and rinse out your scalp with this water. This is also highly effective in treating dandruff. You can also apply freshly squeezed onion juice to your scalp. This is an effective remedy in getting rid of dandruff as well as strengthening the roots of your hair.
