Your question is not very clear - where exactly do you experience the burning sensation? Any other details would also be helpful, such as whether the burning occurs at any particular time or is constant, and whether it gets worse or improves with any particular food or activity.

One common gastric problem is heartburn, which is sometimes an occasional result of eating too much of the wrong food, but in some people becomes chronic, as part of a condition known as gastroesophageal reflux disease or GERD for short.

In this condition, the burning sensation is experienced near the breastbone, and may also involve pain, difficulty swallowing, and nausea. Sufferers often have attacks at night when they go to bed - this is usually because of eating a heavy meal and lying down too soon after. This causes the gastric acid to rise into the esophagus, and you should therefore eat at least an hour before going to bed.

If the burning sensation is lower down, somewhere in your abdomen, the cause could be entirely different. Possible problems include a gallbladder condition and gastric ulcers. These problems cannot be diagnosed without medical assistance, and you should therefore visit a doctor as soon as possible.
