Apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil are treatments that do find a use in topical application; however, none of these would be useful in the case of blind pimples because the infection is way under the skin. A bit of understanding is required about acne and boils to understand why.

The normal human skin contains a wide variety of bacteria, among them is a type called staphylococcus.

When these bacteria get an opportunity to get under the skin, its presence triggers an immune response. The immune response sends cells called neutorphils to fight the invading bacteria in the zone of infection. This collection of netrophils is so great that the skin is swollen and raised but because all the germ warfare is going on under the skin, nothing really can be done until the boil reaches the surface of the skin.

This process of the boil coming to the top of the skin can be accelerated by regularly applying a hot press to the region. When this maturing process is complete, the boil can then be drained. To combat a blind pimple you can keep applying a hot press on the area to try and forcibly mature it or you could even fight this from within using garlic. Garlic contains a powerful antimicrobial element called allacin. The consumption of garlic should be dramatically increased if this method is chosen. If the blind pimple finally manifests itself as a pimple then it should be handled with care when draining. Use salicylic acid to clean the area before drainage.

Apple cider vinegar is purported to be a natural cure for the complexion as well as to combat heart disease and cholesterol. This remedy has been used for many years though the scientific evidence for it is found wanting for some of its claims. Tea tree oil is an established antimicrobial with the power to act on bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It is mildly hallucinogenic so care must be taken not to ingest it orally under any circumstances. Regular washing of the skin should be practiced as well. Staphylococcus is a microbe that is always present on our skin, and being opportunistic, bacteria will take hold in any way in the skin. Its primary route into the skin is by setting up colonies inside the pores of the skin.

Unlike common acne pimples, blind pimples do not come to a head. This means that unlike acne pimples where you can easily see the white or black head of the pimple, a blind pimple causes a swelling which does not come to head but rather remains a flesh coloured bump. Although you will be sorely tempted to squeeze a blind pimple, doing so will not help you and will just be painful. Do not prick it with a needle (even if you have sterilised the needle), this will not help at all and will only serve to leave it open to further infection. In addition, it will damage the skin tissue and definitely increase your chances of scarring.

You can use a hot compress repeatedly which will cause the pimple to come to a head and burst. Although this will not be very pleasant, it will allow the pimple to drain completely and heal naturally. If you have oily skin, you can dip a small cotton pad in apple cider vinegar and apply it to the pimple for a few minutes. Do not use this method of treatment if you have dry or sensitive skin as it will cause flaking and irritation. You can dip an ear bud in tea tree oil and apply it to the pimple.
