Alternative Cures for Chickenpox marks
Chicken pox, caused by the Herpes Zoster virus is known medically as Varicella and causes blisters to form all over the body which eventually scab over and fall off. An extremely contagious disease, most people suffer from chicken pox when they are young. If proper care is not taken during chicken pox, then the blisters and rash leave behind ugly marks and scars.
These scars are usually permanent so it is extremely important to avoid scratching and breaking the blisters. Bathing with water in which cooked oatmeal is allowed to float in a cloth sack ensures that the blister heal properly and do not leave behind any marks.
If you have already had chicken pox and suffer from unsightly scars, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to get rid of them completely.
You can try applying a mixture of lemon juice and cucumber juice on them. This acts as a natural bleaching agent and helps to fade the scars. Application of Vitamin E oil and honey on the scars is also said to beneficial in reducing the marks. You can also apply a paste of sandalwood powder and rose water daily on the scars to lighten them. If the scars are very deep and ugly, then you should consult a dermatologist and you could even consider laser treatment for the removal of scars.
