Cure to Lower High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure or hypertension is the most common disorder to afflict practically everyone from their middle ages. Despite its association with the elderly and middle aged, it is not uncommon for younger individuals to be afflicted with the disorder, mostly owing to the increased pressures and changing lifestyles in our world. In most cases an individual suffering from the problem will be required to take medication for the rest of his or her life to control the problem.

The problem can however be kept in check purely through dieting. It is however essential that you consult your doctor before changing stopping or cutting the dosage of your medication. You can begin dieting and at the same time go in for regular check ups. Once your doctor finds the blood pressure stabilised at a normal level he will cut the medication.

Apart from a healthy diet, there are some natural remedies you could try. A mixture of onion juice and honey, in equal proportions is believed to be quite effective against high blood pressure. Cholesterol levels are reduced by onion juice, which also acts as a tonic for the nervous system. It also acts as a blood purifier, helps the digestive system and regulates the heart action. Honey is extremely soothing for the nerves and helps reduce the high blood pressure.
