Chronic Constipation Health Advice

How will I know that my constipation is worse than I think it is? I’m currently on medication and it's taking a while to work. Is this normal for chronic constipation?

Chronic Constipation Treatment

If you have been constipated for a long period of time prior to have begun with your routine of medication, it is absolutely essential that you allow it some time to work. Normally, there are no magical cures for any chronic disease. Because the disease has been around for a long time, remember that it will take an equally long time to heal as well.

You must make allowances for that kind of time frame in the very least. If you are cured faster, you can always consider it a bonus!

Along with a routine of medication for constipation, it is also important to make some changes in your diet and lifestyle.

If you are not combining the two streams of cure, you will only take longer to get better. You must eat properly and at adequate and regular intervals in order to allow your system to be able to formulate a proper routine of ingestion, digestion and excretion. Furthermore, you must also eat foods that are rich in fiber and will help to speed along the process of excretion. It is also advisable to avoid foods that serve as stool hardeners such as plain flour products and bananas. It is advisable to increase your intake of leafy vegetables and milk to ease your excretory process. A combination such as this one should work properly and in your favor.
