Liposculpture Alternative Treatment

Treatment and diet for recovery after liposculpture?

Liposculpture Dietary Advice

Lipo-sculpture does not mean complete transformation and overnight results. You can improve your body shape using lipo-sculpture but it takes nearly 6 months and it is important to be patient and give your body time to heal before you see the effects. Immediately after the procedure you might notice anaesthetic solution (mixed with 1% blood) draining from the incisions for up to a week.

This is normal; in fact the more the drainage, the faster the healing. You should change the maxi-pads or dressing on the adit sites daily or as recommended by the doctor. Do not apply ice packs or heating pads to the treated areas for a fortnight. Also avoid applying hydrogen peroxide, Vaseline or plastic band-aids. While you can shower after the procedure, baths are not allowed for a week. Soaps and shampoos are allowed, but do not scrub the affected area.

Though the post-treatment garment is not obligatory after the first 24 hours, you should wear the chin garment if your neck has been operated. If you find the garment uncomfortable for other parts of the body, you can wear support hose, bicycle pants or corsets for support. There is no real restriction on activity; you can resume all normal physical, sexual and aerobic activities the next day, but avoid extreme physical exercise that will put strain on the treated area. Avoid exposing the treated area to sun till the bruising has faded completely and apply a sun-block on the area for at least a year after treatment. There is no specific diet for post-operative care, but avoid taking alcohol as long as you are on medication and using muscle relaxants.
