How to take care of a gun wound?

Advice on Gun Wound Treatment

Bullet wounds are not to be taken lightly - there are no "home remedies" to take care of such injuries. If not treated properly and promptly (and sometimes in spite of such treatment), a gun shot can result in death or lifelong disability. You should therefore visit a hospital or at least your family doctor or general practitioner, or anyone with some medical qualifications, in case for some reason you do not want to visit a hospital.

There are also several factors that affect the damage caused by the bullet - the velocity, the type of bullet, the location of the injury, and so on. If a bullet hits a critical organ or the nervous system, it will result in almost immediate death, but if another organ is affected it may take days for the full effect to be known, by which time it may be too late. In any case, you are not qualified to judge what damage the bullet has done, so you should leave it to a professional. In some cases, even a bullet wound to a limb can result in death. This is of course partly due to the risk of a serious infection taking hold, but also because of shock and blood loss.
