Tips to get Rid of a Tan
The amount of fairness your skin has depends on the amount of melanin that your skin has. This normally depends on genetic factors and hence cannot be changed or altered to a great extent. However you can take a couple of preventive measures to ensure you skin does not tan further due to exposure to the sun.
But these measures will only have a marginal change in the actual skin color and it is important not too overdo the process trying to make your skin fairer as it can have other side effects that could lead to new problems for your skin. To begin with you can use a skin whitening cream. These creams basically work by reducing the amount of melanin produced by your skin.
As more melanin is the reason your skin becomes darker, a reduction in the production levels will have an opposite effect. However the down side is that this effect is not permanent and you have to keep using the cream in order to maintain the fairness.
Another solution is bleaching. Bleaching is a process that can help treat scars, a sun tan and also clear the blemishes from the skin to make it look lighter. Bleaching make use of certain chemicals to achieve this effect and though the chemicals are safe for your skin it is important to do it right as a dis- approptionate mixing or too much application can burn your skin and it is advisable to get it done by a beauty expert first until you can learn how. Finally remember t always wear good sunscreen when going out into the sun and make sure to reapply it if you spend the entire day out in the sun.
