Dental Infection Home Remedy

A boil or an infection of the gums can usually be linked to bad personal hygiene. If your child has not been brushing her teeth at least twice a day, it is little wonder then that she is suffering from a boil. Usually when a person has an infection of the tooth or the gum this results in the loss of a tooth.

If your doctor has suggested that the tooth be removed it probably means that the tooth is badly infected.

However, you can try some easy and effective home remedies to help her. Your daughter is probably complaining of swollen gums which are red and may even bleed.

You should get your daughter to use warm water to rinse out her mouth. Adding some salt will help clean her mouth. Turmeric is recognized for its antiseptic properties so it is a good idea to add a pinch of this to the water she uses to gargle.  Aloe Vera is believed to help sooth swollen gums so you can try applying to your daughter's gum boil.   You can also add a pinch of cinnamon powder to the warm water and use this to gargle. You can also lay a wet tea bag on the affected tooth since this draws out the infection and eases the pain. A mixture of salt and turmeric can also be used to massage the gums.   You can drop some pieces of pomegranate peel into a cup of boiling water, strain and use the water to gargle.
