Toenail fungus vinegar and epson salt home cures

I have a big toe fungus that just won't go away. Right now it's mostly under the nail but it seems to be in the skin on the side of the nail at the top. I was wondering if I could soak it in Epson salts?

Yes you can soak your feel in a tub of water to which a few pinches of Epsom salts have been added. This will definitely help to fight fungal infections. After your feet have been soaking for fifteen minutes or so, use a soft brush to gently clean the affected toe and the surrounding skin.

Make sure that you do not use a hard brush or clippers while you are doing this as fungus can easily attach itself to skin that is even slightly damaged or bruised. You can also soak the affected toe in cupful of vinegar. Vinegar is acidic in nature and helps to destroy bacteria and fungus.

As fungus requires moisture to survive, use an antifungal powder as it will attack the fungus as well as keep it from spreading.

Do not use nail polish to try and cover up an unsightly toenail as this will seal in the fungus. Make sure that you clip your nails short and in a straight line. You can use a nail file or an emery board to smooth the edges so that they are rounded. Do not leave the edges of the nails as sharp points as they will dig into your skin and will help to spread the infection.
