Since you mentioned that you have no insurance or employment going to a dentist seems like a far stretch, but it is the best solution you can find to your tooth problems. As far as possible try and arrange at least one visit so that a dentist can define the extent of the damage your teeth have suffered and then you can follow up there on. The best way to take care of tooth decay is prevention.
As far as possible avoid the consumption of sweets, artificial sweeteners and sugars as they cause a lot of damage to your teeth. If you can't avoid the sweets or sugars you will have to brush your teeth regularly; this means at least twice a day.
Make use of good toothpaste, preferably one that has medicinal properties like clove and make sure to brush all areas of your mouth thoroughly.
After brushing make sure to floss as it removes leftover foodstuff from between your teeth (another major cause of tooth decay). The clinical term for a tooth ache is odontalgy and the main reason why it occurs is a poor diet and incorrect eating habits. There is one remedy you can try for a toothache: take a clove of garlic and mix it with a pinch of rock salt. Apply the same to the affected tooth and leave it there for a while. The pain will subside in a while.
