Effective Remedies and Causes of Nail Problem Nail problems are particularly irritating to deal with it. This is because you have to be careful when treating them so that they do not affect your movements and also because the pain they cause just plain annoys you. A condition known as ingrown nails occurs when the nail grows into the nail bed.
If your nail is behaving this way, you need to check the trimming technique you use when you cut your nails.
Don't cut the nails ridiculously short. If the nail in question is a toenail, remember to wear comfortable footwear. Footwear of an incorrect size injures the toenails and this in turn can lead to abnormal nail growth. Nails also grow abnormally due to fungal infections. Such infections should be treated with epsom salt baths. You can also use iodine to disinfect the nail. Toenails fall prey to fungal infections more often in warm and moist environments. Hence, it is imperative that you maintain general hygiene and take special care to clean the dirt and debris that accumulate under the surface of the nails. Another point that you need to remember is that you must never use force to cut off nails. Chances are that you might end up injuring it all the more and thus delay the healing of the nail
