Vitiligo Treatments and Natural Cures
There are no real home remedies for vitiligo, but if the condition is mild, affecting only a few areas, it is usually possible to use cosmetics to cover these areas. The condition basically involves a loss of skin pigmentation, and the causes are not fully understood till today. Treatment options are also limited, and the available treatments are not always successful.

These include phototherapy, which uses ultraviolet light in combination with certain medications, and certain creams such as corticosteroids, to repigment the affected areas. On the other hand, some people, especially those who have already lost large areas of pigmentation, prefer to go in for complete depigmentation, which is irreversible. There are also other, more recent treatments that are still being tried out, such as transplantation of melanocytes.

You should ask your doctor about the treatment options available to you.

Right now however, since pigmentation seems to be lost only at the corners of your mouth, taking any kind of medication seems unnecessary. As long as the white patches do not spread too much, you can quite easily and effectively camouflage them using make up. In some cases, sunlight helps, so you can try this — however, if you find that it doesn’t work, you should avoid the sun, to lessen the contrast between tanned areas and the areas without pigmentation.
