Benefits of Brussels Sprouts

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "maintain in our body", but Brussels sprouts are certainly among the healthiest foods available. If you like Brussels sprouts and plan to include them regularly in your diet, you are making an excellent choice as they will do your body plenty of good.

Brussels sprouts, like cabbages, are a cruciferous vegetable – in fact they look like small, more brightly colored cabbages.

Probably the only thing you should consider when eating Brussels sprouts is their tendency, like all cruciferous vegetables, to contribute to flatulence. If you have no such problem though, there is no need for you to worry. Brussels sprouts are low in calories while providing a lot of nourishment — if you're losing weight, they are an excellent selection for your diet. They are extremely low in fat and high in protein, and of course high in fiber as well. In addition, Brussels sprouts contain plenty of minerals and vitamins — calcium, potassium, vitamin A, and vitamin C for example.

Along with the vitamin C, Brussels sprouts contain compounds called phytochemicals, which are thought to help prevent the development of cancer. As you can see, Brussels sprouts are thus an extremely healthy vegetable.
