How do you remove skin tags

Skin Tags Natural Cure

Acrochordons or skin tags are relatively harmless non malignant skin abnormalities. A skin tag appears to be a small piece of hanging skin and is a benign growth. There may be slight variations in appearance, but they are generally slightly wrinkled and irregular or smooth.

They are flesh coloured, or slightly darker appear to hang from the skin. They pose no health threat and so removal is not a necessary procedure for health reasons.

However they are blemishes to your appearance and most people opt to have them removed. This can be done by a doctor or dermatologist or even at home.

Doctors and dermatologists generally remove a skin tag using, cryotherapy, surgical excision or electrocautery. The first method involves removal through freezing with liquid nitrogen, while the second is by cutting. Electrocautery involves the use of a very small blade, heated to an extremely high temperature, to cut off the tag, simultaneously sealing the blood vessel to stop any bleeding.

There are also a number of medicated formulas and applications that you can use at home for removal of the skin tag. Another method commonly used is snipping of the skin tag, with a sterilized clipper or scissors. Once completed the area needs to be cleaned thoroughly to rule out any chance of infection. These procedures are however risky.
