Diet for gall bladder

Once you have had a gall bladder operation the production of bile by the liver does not stop however, as the flow of bile is now sent directly to the small intestine by the liver instead of being stored in the gall bladder, the passage needs to be taken care of in order to  heal properly after surgery. Therefore there is a need to follow a proper diet and follow it for a certain period after the operation.

There are no specific steps that need to be followed after surgery, but the patient should generally develop a diet that contains low amounts of fat.

This means that one should avoid the consumption of fried foods and junk foods as they contain some amounts pf hidden fats .Avoid the consumption of too much red meat instead substitute it for fish. Do not consume a large amount of carbonated drinks.

Make sure that you include a large amount of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables . Consume a good quantity of fruit juices and fluids as it has helps in preventing constipation which sometimes occurs after surgery.
