Cholera prevention tips

Cholera is a disease that, once it strikes, will invariably reach epidemic proportions. It is very important to know how to avoid contracting cholera for this reason alone. If you are in a place where the disease is common place, it would be wiser to move away till it has subsided.

Like all other contagious diseases, cholera also has a life span and it will subside beyond a point in epidemic proportions. In order to know how to take care of it, however, you can adopt some simple and extremely basic measures.

It is essential to know that the disease spreads via contaminated food and drink.

You must make certain that your entire kitchen is sterilized, and all the water and food you are consuming is completely sterilized. To ensure this, you would have to stop eating raw and undercooked food altogether. You would also have to make sure that the water you are drinking is completely sterilized, boiled and free of any contaminants and germs. The highest possibility of spreading cholera comes from eating raw or poorly cooked sea food. Shell fish, particularly, should be avoided at all costs. Salads, fruits and raw vegetables need to be given a wide berth in order to escape from this disease.
