Yeast infection natural remedies

Yeast infection (also known as candidiasis) irritates and causes a lot of discomfort. Women suffer from such infections particularly in the vaginal area. At first, the skin around the vagina starts to redden and before long, it swells and starts to burn and itch.

The vagina might also discharge a fluid that may smell like baked bread.

Penile yeast infections in men are not uncommon. These are characterized by red patches that might be accompanied by the secretion of a white fluid.

Intense itching and at times a burning sensation might also be experienced.
The intake of yoghurt is said to bring considerable relief. You must also apply yoghurt to the infected areas. In addition, avoid baked bread and white flour products – these contain a high amount of yeast. Make it a point to chew on a pod of garlic. And, do remember to enrich your meals with grains, vegetables, and proteins. These help fight the infection effectively.

Yeast infections take days — at times months — to disappear. The infection might linger, and recur, if you have a weak immune system. And you may develop a weak immune system if you depend heavily on antibiotics for a slight sneeze or a cough. So, do take those medicines only when necessary and not otherwise.
