Discoloring tooth remedies There are a variety of reasons for the tooth to lose its enamel. The most obvious reasons are all related to tooth hygiene. Most people, in their zeal to ensure that they have perfect teeth, don't realize where and when they should draw the line.
As a result they subject their teeth to over brushing. In their enthusiasm to have white teeth, they may also use very strong toothpastes or other products which could affect the enamel. In short, these products simply eat away the enamel.
Sometimes using too much pressure while brushing the teeth can also cause the enamel to erode.
If your tooth does not have sufficient enamel cover, then it could become sensitive to heat and cold. You will find it difficult to drink either hot or cold drinks since your tooth will now be sensitive to these. You will need to consult your dentist at the earliest and seek advice regarding the loss of enamel on your teeth. In the meanwhile, you should stop using too much force while brushing. Also avoid over brushing. You should also use a soft toothbrush.
Sometimes, chewing tobacco or smoking can also make your teeth vulnerable by causing a loss of enamel. You should stop smoking if you are a regular smoker. You should also avoid sucking on hard candy since this could lead to the loss of enamel.
