Rash causes and remedies

Rashes can occur due to many reasons. They can occur due to an injury, acne, boils, as a result of taking some medications, as an allergic reaction, or by touching something that reacts to your skin. Most of the time, rashes occur at the time of healing of the skin.

This is the time when skin itches the most, and if you scratch liberally, you can leave behind rashes that can cause scars. It is highly unlikely that stress can cause physical damage such as rashes. Scientific evidence does not support this supposition in any way.

There can, however, be other physical effects that can be caused by rashes.

Headaches, fatigue, sleeplessness, hunger or lack of hunger can all be possible side effects of stress. You would, however, need to get this checked out by a doctor before you do anything about it.

If you have rashes, irrespective of the reason, you can follow some simple home remedies to take care of them. You can apply cooling yogurt to your rashes. Mix a teaspoon of rose water in a cup of yogurt and apply. Leave this on for about 20 minutes then wash. It will soothe your rashes and cool your skin down. You can also repeat this often. Mix one teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of cold water, dip a washcloth and place it on the rash for five minutes. This will heal the rash.
