Urticaria natural remedies

Urticaria commonly occurs due to excess sweat, heat or friction in any part of the body. The only other cause for this problem is the possible surge of allergies. If you can determine the cause for your son's urticaria, it may become easier for you to figure out a treatment for it.

Application of rose water is always an excellent solution for temporary relief, but do remember that this is momentary and may not provide long term relief. If you cannot get your hands on rose water, apply calamine lotion instead. This is far more soothing and cooling than rose water.

Cool compresses are also a common method for temporary relief. If your boy can handle it, let him soak in a tub of cool water to which a few drops of lavender oil have been added. This will provide some relief by reducing the itching greatly. Prepare a spreadable paste of Fuller's Earth and apply it like a pack on the affected area. This will help to draw out any infection. Alternatively, make a thick concoction with a cup of tamarind and two cups of water and let it lie overnight. The next morning, stir this vigorously with a spoon and apply to your son's body. This is very useful in the treatment of urticaria.
