Home Remedies for Underarm Sweat Treatment

Sweating is a natural process by which our skin remains moist and our bodies get rid of the excessive heat. Excessive body sweating or even underarm sweating is a problem that many people face. Excessive sweating has no surefire remedy but you can try some of these home remedies: Shave your armpits to avoid minimize bacterial growth.

It is not advisable to use perfume on your underarms. You can apply baking soda on your underarms to help absorb sweat as well as reduce bacterial growth. While having a bath, add some cups of tomato juice to the water and soak in it for say 15 minutes. Use a strong, anti-bacterial soap for your underarm region. Wear comfortable fitting, cotton clothes and make sure that you wash your clothes after each wear. Drink a lot of fluids, be it water or juices.

You can also make small changes to your diet. Reduce your intake of heavy-smelling foods such as garlic, fish, onions and spicy food items such as curry, because these may be smelled in your sweat. Eat foods that are rich in fiber.

Performing surgery to remove the underarm skin is an effective method to avoid underarm sweating but it is usually not recommended and is not so common because of the risk of scarring.
