Causes, Symptoms and Treatment for Tendonitis
The first thing you need to know about tendonitis is that it is a condition that rarely goes away completely. The soreness that typically accompanies an inflamed tendon is something that will keep recurring if the muscle is used in the same manner again. This could happen the next time you strain that muscle, or it could happen after a gap of a few years. Basically, there is no guarantee that this problem will leave you. The remedies you can follow it are also fairly basic and simple. Nothing too complicated can be done about it, really. For the first 24 hours after you have developed tendonitis, you must rest the injured tendon. After a day, you must start slowly exercising again in order to loosen it; otherwise the muscle will simply freeze up.
You would need to change the kind of exercise you are indulging in, however. Be careful not to strain the same muscle too strongly again, or your condition will worsen. Applying hot water to your strained muscles will also help to ease the soreness. You can soak in a hot tub, to which a few drops of mustard oil have been added, as this will ease the pain greatly. Try to keep the area elevated if you can. This will prevent blood pooling close to your injury, thus providing relief.
