Natural remedies for ringworm Ringworm is the kind of medical infection that shown up on your skin in the form of ring shaped red spots. Contrary to popular belief, these are not actually worms that are visible below the surface of the skin. It is a fungal growth, and the good part about it is that it is rarely painful.
There are several tried and tested home remedies that can help you to get rid of ringworms quite easily. Since you can see exactly where the infection is, this makes treatment that much easier, since it can be administered topically.
The most highly effective method of killing any kind of fungal infection is to apply tea tree oil to it.
This will take care of ringworm effectively in a couple of days. An unusual remedy is to use any whitening toothpaste to get rid of the ringworm. In order to make sure it does not recur, you can also rub the area with ethyl alcohol, which is a sanitizing agent. Another useful application is that of concentrated white vinegar. If done every alternate hour, this will help to kill the infection very quickly. Alternately, you can also apply freshly squeezed juice of raw garlic to the ringworm to kill it at once. Applying fresh horseradish to your ringworm will help to eliminate it quickly and naturally as well.

Ringworm home treatment A ringworm infection can appear on any part of your body. Ringworm infections thrive on damp, warm places and usually affect the parts of your body that are not dried properly or that remain damp.
You can use apple cider vinegar to treat your infection. You will need a clean cotton swab with which to apply this to the infected part of your body. You can use apple cider vinegar repeatedly on the infected area. Another very effective remedy requires mustard seeds. Mustard seeds will need to be ground into a fine paste. You can use water to grind the seeds. Apply this paste on the affected areas of the body. A green papaya is also an effective remedy for ringworm infection. Apply this on the infected area and then leave it alone. The seeds of a papaya are equally beneficial in treating a ringworm infection. You should grind these into a fine paste and apply on the affected areas of your body.
You should ensure that you are always well dried. Avoid wearing very tight clothing. Wearing shoes and sacks for long hours can cause discomfort. You can wash yourself well after you get back from work and allow your body to breathe.
