Before beginning any kind of treatment, you should know that there is no home remedy that will permanently cure fever blisters, which are also commonly known as cold sores. There are, however, several methods which will make them disappear momentarily, and there are infinite ways to bring relief to the itching that accompanies them. The simplest method is to apply ice to the area, which will momentarily make that part of the mouth numb and give you instant relief.


You can also use chilled used tea bags for the same thing. Make a paste of turmeric powder and clarified butter and apply this to your blisters. This will also help tremendously with healing them.




Applying chilled milk to your blisters will moisturize them and give you relief from itching. If you can, also apply chilled milk cream for extra moisturization. Witch Hazel is an excellent remedy to bring cooling relief and it will also assist in healing your blisters. You can just apply a blister pad to your sore and tape it on for a while. Another effective remedy is aloe vera gel or juice. Again, a simple topical application will work well. Mix equal parts of organic cider vinegar and rose water and apply this to help with curing the blister. Calamine lotion will also provide cooling relief.
