Cough pain remedies

A cough accompanied by severe chest pain could be a sign of several disorders. Bronchiolitis or bronchitis as it is commonly known is one possible disease, but there are others like Pneumoconiosis, Histoplasmosis, Legionnaires' disease, Lung cancer and Pneumonia to name a few. Almost all of these diseases are quite serious and visiting a doctor at the earliest is of the utmost importance.

Addressing or treating these disorders with home remedies is not a good idea and they can only be used to help aid the healing process or for relief.

Since there is no way of knowing which of these disorders you suffer from, with the symptoms provided, there is no remedy that I can offer, but there are certain factors that contribute to and aggravate the problem with almost all of the above mentioned diseases. It would be advisable to restrict and avoid exposure to any of these factors and visit a doctor immediately for medical treatment.

Smoking is one of the main factors that contributes to and aggravates the condition in most of these ailments and should be avoided completely. An environment that is cold or damp is also quite unhealthy. In cities air pollution levels can be another unavoidable problem, and in extreme cases relocation might be necessary.

Intense pain remedies

If you are having such a localized and strong pain that accompanies your coughing bouts, then you should get yourself medically examined to rule out any injury. It is sometimes also possible that you have managed to injure yourself without knowing it and coughing is putting extra stress on the injury repeatedly, thus making it worse. It is also important to know that sometimes excessive coughing can also cause an injury due to repeated and continuous stress on any one part of the rib cage.

In any case, the best thing you can do for such a pain is to apply warm compresses. This will help to ease the pain a little. You can also rub some warm mustard oil on the part that is in pain, which will heal the ache. However, the best thing you can do for yourself is to stop the cough, so that the pain automatically leaves. You must try not to lie flat on your back, as this has a tendency to aggravate coughs of any kind. Elevate your head and torso and you should immediately be coughing less. A teaspoon each of ginger juice and honey taken about four times a day will help your cough as well. You can also suck on a cardamom all day to relieve the cough. Slide some honey down your throat every time you cough excessively.
