Phlegm Home Cures Phlegm is nothing but the thick mucous that you have in your body. This emerges out of your nose or your mouth when you cough or sneeze. The color of the phlegm you spit or sneeze out is an indication of the nature of your infection.
If you notice that your phlegm is laced with blood you should consult your doctor at the earliest. Having your nose cavities filled with phlegm can make you feel terrible and all of us would like to see the phlegm out of our bodies.
The easiest way to ensure that the phlegm is removed from the body is by inhaling steam. You can heat some water and inhale the steam that rises from it. Adding a few drops of eucalyptus oil converts the ordinary steam into medicated steam.
You should eat plenty of pears since this will help naturally get the phlegm out of your body. You can also use powdered black pepper and mix this with raisins and eat this. A mixture of ginger and cinnamon, boiled in hot water, can give you relief from the phlegm. You should avoid eating oily food and ensure that you drink warm water. Hot drinks like tea and soups will also help you.
