Malaria Fever remedies and advice Malaria fever is a fever brought on by a blood infection that is carried by mosquitoes. For most people, the symptoms of malaria do not manifest till about 10-15 days after they have been bitten. It is normal for a bout of malaria to last about a week or more after it has been detected.
It would depend upon the severity of the disease and the time it would take to control it.
Once you are declared medically fully recovered from malaria, you would still need to rest for about two weeks more before you undertake any kind of travel. This is due to two reasons: one is to recover from the weakness caused by the disease.
Malaria leaves behind weakness that must be given enough time and attention, otherwise there is a possibility that it will set in on a long-term basis. It is important for you to get complete rest and recover from the illness totally. The second reason is that your immune system is not up and running at full steam so soon after you have recovered from malaria. You can boost your immunity by taking Echinacea pills on a daily basis for at least a month after you have recovered from malaria. This will help you.
