Sore tongue home remedies There are some common home remedies available for a sore tongue. But first, you would have to determine why your tongue is sore. If it is due to a mouth infection of some sort, then your best bet is to get rid of the infection that is giving you trouble.
If it is due to something excessively hot that you ate, and you have burnt your tongue because of it, applying clarified butter will help to heal your tongue very quickly. If your tongue is burnt, you must also eat cold foods like chilled milk and ice cream. You must completely avoid hot food until the time your tongue heals completely.
Your tongue could also be sore due to some food you ate that did not agree with you. In this case, you should wait out the situation. Brush your teeth as often as you can, as this will help ease the soreness. Avoid eating excessively strong and hot foods for the time being, as this will spare your tongue the added discomfort of dealing with these extra things. If your tongue is sore because you ate something spicy, then you should keep a few ice cubes in your mouth till they dissolve completely. Do not swallow the water that melts off the ice cubes, instead, regularly spit it out. Your soreness will disappear at once
