Scars, especially those that are on the face, can cause you a lot of embarrassment and make you feel self-conscious. If it makes you feel any better, you should know that scars usually fade with time. Your scar will fade too, but in the meanwhile you can try these simple remedies to speed up the process.




Generally lemon juice is recommended in cases where scars or marks are to be faded. Its bleaching properties make lemon juice a favorite remedy in getting rid of old marks. You should simply apply the juice on your scar and leave it on.


Another easy remedy is using Vitamin E. A capsule of this Vitamin can be punctured and the contents applied on the scar. Regular usage of this remedy will certainly bring about a change. Chamomile tea is another favorite and easy remedy to get rid of scars. You can use a chamomile tea bag. However, ensure that the tea bag is wet – either by dipping it in some water or using it after it has been steeped in hot water. Aloe Vera is another useful product that can be used on old scars. Cucumber juice is another remedy that you can easily try out. Squeezing a handful of grated cucumber will give you a small amount of juice. Dip a cotton swab in this and apply on the affected area.
