A pus sort of inflammation can be a symptom of piles if the pus is formed in the anal canal or near the lower rectum. If the inflammation or pus is in other areas of your body, you should consult a doctor for medical advice and help.

To help you understand the occurrence, position and symptoms of piles, I have some useful information for you:

Piles are basically swellings inside the anal canal or inflammation of the veins around the lower rectum.

Piles are divided into various degrees depending on the size and position of inflammation. Swellings and pus on the inner lining of anal canal is first degree. Second degree piles are often larger than the normal size and stick out from the anus.

Third degree piles are also large in size and usually hang out from the anus and return inside when pushed back. Fourth degree piles stay out of the anus permanently and become most prominent and painful.

Common symptoms associated with formation of piles are bright red blood from anus, pain and discomfort during bowel movement, slimy discharge of mucus, itching, soiling underwear and inflammation of the veins surrounding the lower rectum or anus.
