My daughter is 7 months old. She is suffering from congestion & cold very frequently. Kindly need the remedy to treat her.

Natural Remedies for Cough and Congestion

Here are some of the most effective and preferable home remedies for cough and congestion:

Take some cardamom seeds and place them on hot coal. Inhale the smoke.
Tie some crushed carom seeds in a handkerchief.

Either place this tied handkerchief under your pillow or keep it near your bed while sleeping.
Add salt to a glass of water and boil. Put the boiled water in a sterilized container and inhale the smoke.
Take a warm bath or hot shower bath. This is beneficial in clearing the nasal passage.
Combination of salt, baking soda and water can be used as a nasal drop. This is one of the best remedy for nasal congestion.
Mixture of grated horsetail and apple cider vinegar is another great remedy for nasal congestion.
Combination of tomato juice, chopped garlic, hot sauce, lemon juice and celery salt is a magical drink to relieve nasal congestion.
You can even try dabbing a mentholated salve under your child’s nose.
You can feed your child with warm milk. Add pinch of salt and turmeric powder to the milk.
Wrap aniseed in a piece of cloth and heat with an iron. Once heated place it on your child’s chest.
Mix coconut oil with powdered camphor and allow it to cool. Gently apply the oil on your child’s chest.
