Natural Treatment for Sunburn Skin

Peeling skin is indicative of certain disorders. Scarlet fever, erythrderma, overdose of vitamin A, exfoliative dermatitis, psoriasis and eczema are the various skin conditions, which result in skin peeling. Sunburn heats up the epidermis or the outer layer of the skin. This results in peeling of the skin, which is a natural process. Olive oil and honey is mixed with turmeric powder and sandalwood powder and made into a paste.

Topical application of fresh mint juice, every night, before retiring to bed is an effective remedy. Fresh and grated cucumber is placed on the affected area for rejuvenating the dry skin. All the essential nutrients are provided in the diet to help recovery. Vitamin C and protein supplements in the diet aid in preventing infection. Apply sunscreen especially when you go out.

Adequate amount of water is helpful. Mild soaps are used. Avoid harsh chemicals on the peeled skin. Multivitamin supplements prove beneficial. Wear a glove, if peeling happens at the palm. Avoid peeling out the skin. Remove by cutting the ends. Topical application of an antiseptic cream helps in preventing spread of infection.
