Home remedy for itchy skin

my skin has been real itchy. My skin is pretty dry and putting oilson it helps but I don't know what would cause this to happen sometimes and sometimes not. Could it be lack of fatty acids?

Natural cures for itchy skin

Sunburns, insect bites, dryness, infectious diseases, overexposure to water or hot baths or unfavorable medication could be the possible causes for itching. Use some of these very effective home remedies for quick relief.

Take a bath from 1 can of evaporated milk.

You can replace milk with baking soda or uncooked oatmeal.

Dust some cornstarch on the itchy area once or twice a day or add it in your bath water.

Apply wheat germ oil, cod liver oil, vitamin E oil, Aloe Vera gel or lemon juice on the itchy area regularly.

Scrub your skin very gently with a pumice stone and wash it with soap. Apply some rubbing alcohol to it and coat it with a thick layer of Vaseline. This way you will get relief from itching and your skin will be sufficiently lubricated.

Apple cider vinegar is another very effective home remedy for itching. Add 1 tsp of it in 1 glass of water and douche the itchy area with it. Or you can also add 2 tbsp of this vinegar in your bath water and soak in it regularly.

Apply the oil of Burdock root to decrease itching.

You can also take a bath with peppermint or yellow dock.

Enrich your diet with vitamins C and E, beta-carotene and zinc.

Drink at least 1 liter of water daily.
