Natural Remedies for Genital warts

Genital warts are caused by HPV a virus called the Human Pappiloma Virus. There are some simple natural ways which you may want to try before you try any invasive treatments to deal with the problem. There may be some experimentation involved, but through trial and error you can hopefully find the treatment that works best for you.
Here are some herbs you can apply directly to the warts:

  • Goldenseal: A natural antibiotic and antiviral
  • Tea Tree Oil: An aromatherapy oil with good antiviral and antifungal properties
  • Aloe Vera: Known to soothe and heal. Use it in gel form.
  • Garlic Oil: Improves WBCs ability to fight infection

These are all treatments that are being studied for their use in viral infections and have been known to help with related ailments.
Here are some supplements you can take to strengthen your system internally:

  • Echinacea: Used commonly in the treatment of genital warts and a natural immune system booster.
  • Astragalus: Also good for fighting bacterial and viral infections. Again, an immune system booster.
  • Garlic powder tablets: A natural antibiotic, anti fungal and antiviral.
  • Lactobacillus: Found in yogurt or to be taken as a supplement.
  • Vitamins : To remove deficiencies and boost the immune system. Zinc and Amino acid L-cysteine may also be taken.

As with everything else lifestyle and diet changes are recommended. Try and switch to eating fresh and organic foods rather than packaged or refined foods. Try to include at least 5-9 servings of fruit and vegetables in your everyday diet. Reduce your consumption of snacks and junk food. Don't stress yourself out, because some studies show that people who feel hostile, depressed or guilty heal later than people with a positive outlook. 20 million people across the world suffer from the problem, so you are not alone. Practice the above remedies in consultation with your health care giver and hopefully you will be able to manage the problem without surgical intervention.
