Excessive sweating natural cures

Sweating is the body's way of getting rid of toxins. Sweat is also the body's way of cooling itself down when the ambient temperature is too hot. Living in a humid environment or wearing synthetic clothes can make you sweat more than normal.

Wearing non-leather shoes can cause your feet to sweat excessively. Some people just have a greater concentration of sweat glands and therefore sweat more. The good news is that people who sweat also tend to have skin that looks young for a longer time.

But excessive sweating can show up in the form of patches in the underarm region or clammy wet hands and this can be embarrassing. Here are some natural remedies to help curtail the problem:

  • Use talcum powder or baking soda in areas where you are prone to sweat more
  • Wear open toed leather footwear
  • Taking a tablet of Kali Phos every day may also help
  • Make an infusion of sage leaves by the following process. Bring two cups of water to boil and add 20. Allow this to simmer for five minutes. Strain it and add some sugar or honey to make it more palatable. Feed the infusion to your child twice a day. Sage suppresses sweat production  and may help with the problem.
  • Take equal quantity of Oak bark, eucalyptus leaves, tormentil root, walnut leaves and witch hazel. To two quarts of water add 5 tbsps of this blend and simmer for about five minutes. Strain the mixture and add a further quart of cold water. Bathe his hands and feet in this mixture.

When you sweat a lot, it means you are losing fluids and minerals which you will need to replenish on a continuing basis. Drink lots of fluids and non sugary beverages to make up the loss or you may end up dehydrated.
