Numb Finger Symptoms and Reasons
At some point or the other, almost everybody gets the chills, even if the winter is far behind us. This condition is known as Raynaud's syndrome. Raynaud's is a general disorder that affects most people and its symptoms are diagnosed when your fingers or toes go numb and cold for a long period of time.
If there is feeling of chill coupled with the numbness then try warming them by placing it under your armpits. The familiar body heat can help to bring it back to life. Try not to cause injury to the fingers by pinching them or resuscitating sensation using extreme methods of heat or cold. This will only cause more damage to the fingers even though you feel only numbness. This condition happens when the person experiences unusual cold or is under stress. It isn't something to be afraid of nor is it life threatening but it can cause alarm in people who have no idea what is happening.
Pay close attention to the manner of your sleep patterns as the way you sleep can affect the position of your hands. If your fingers are under your body or a heavy pillow or mattress for a long period of time blood circulation gets affected and sometimes takes days to get back to normal. Do not work for long hours that require too much use of your fingers. Simple exercise that involves expansion and contraction of your fingers can stimulate blood circulation.
