Home Remedies for Soured Stomach

Indigestions cause much discomfort and embarrassment in public or social settings; however they can be relieved with the help of a few home treatments. Add three teaspoons of apple cider vinegar or the juice of a freshly lemon squeezed lemon in a glass of lightly warm water. Stir well and drink this liquid before having any kind of meal.

Wait for about 15 minutes before you eat your food. For immediate relief from indigestion take three drops of peppermint oil and stir it in a glass of water. Drink this up to obtain relief from the pain and 'sour' feeling.

The mixture with peppermint oil and water can be had once every five hours till the feeling subsides.

Fruits such as grapes, pineapples and pomegranate have beneficial properties in tackling indigestion. The fresh juice of any of these fruits can also be consumed in place of the fruits. Pineapple especially contains enzymes that hasten the breakdown of food while soothing inflamed stomach linings caused due to the buildup of stomach acids. Fresh pomegranate juice or fresh carrot juice also aids in bringing down the recurrence of indigestion. Include a daily diet of any or all these fruits or their juices to prevent the unpleasant experience of indigestion.
