Vaginal odor can be due to various reasons like yeast infection, or bacterial vaginosis, some sexually transmitted disease like trich or trichomonas. Try these simple home remedies to reduce the unpleasant vaginal odor -

• Mix equal parts of water and vinegar and use this mixture to douche your vagina to eliminate the unpleasant vaginal odor.  
• Similarly prepare a solution by adding few drops of tea tree oil in a cup of water.
  
  
  Apply this solution to the vaginal area to reduce the odor.
• If yeast infection or bacterial infection is the cause for your vaginal odor then add some acidophilus in your diet in the form of yoghurt or yoghurt. Under a specialist prescription you can even take acidophilus supplements.
  
  
  
• To avoid any sexually transmitted diseases have safe sex using condoms.
• Keep your vagina dry and clean. Don't use any scented lotions or creams to decrease your natural body smell in the intimate region. Many a times these are the root cause for giving an infection and off odor.
• Avoid scratching, preferably wear boxer shorts while sleeping at night for better air circulation and totally prevent wearing tight synthetic clothes.
