Fever home remedies It is important to treat the cause of fever to treat fever completely as fever can be a symptom for many disorders. Try the following home remedies for fever -
- An herbal tea made by boiling equal proportions of chamomile flowers, thyme and linden flowers in a cup of water is a very effective remedy for fever. Strain and give him one ounce twice daily.
- If the fever rises above 102 or 103 degrees then remove the extra heat from the body using cold wet compresses on the forehead.
- With each degree rise in temperature the body energy meter also rises, so feed him. To fight the infection and make the immune system strong make him eat soft palatable foods, chicken broths or different vegetable soups.
- Encourage him to sip hot fluids or liquids or simply water as when the temperature falls down the body sweats and loses water, this may cause dehydration.
If the fever remains to be on a higher side or lingers for more than 2 days then consult a specialist for a treatment.
