Diaper rash simply means irritated red skin for the baby which is making him uncomfortable. Try these simple home remedies to get rid of diaper rash and ease your baby –

• First thing to do is remove the diaper and make your baby sleep on his chest on a soft cotton bed sheet (make sure to lay a waterproof sheet under it). This will give some air to your baby's bottoms.
  
  
  
• Blow-dry your baby, it is important to clean the area well but wiping with a towel can further irritate the skin. Use a hair drier (set it on a very low mode) to dry the baby's bottoms.
• Give the last rinse of vinegar to the cloth diapers which you use for the baby.
  
  
  This will help to set the pH of the diaper in line with the pH of the baby's skin.
• Change the diaper often as soon as it is soiled and always wash the baby's bottom with soap and water before making him wear another diaper.
• Avoid sprinkling too much of baby powder or lotions, instead go the natural way sprinkle corn starch if required. Baby powders and lotions contains additives and lotions which may also cause a rash.
