Gastroparesis natural cures
Do you know of any remedies for gastroparesis, which is way beyond severe constipation? I have tried many cures and some work for a while but I still get extreme bloating. (I have to be careful of gassy substances.) Thanks

Gastroparesis natural cures Gastroparesis, also referred as ‘lazy intestines' is a condition where the stomach muscles function poorly thereby delaying the stomach emptying process. Certain dietary modifications and medication may help relieve the symptoms, but for long term effects you need to continue the lifestyle modifications. Just following them for few times would not help in the long run.
Following dietary changes are recommended besides the medications taken –
- It is very important to dive your meals to improve digestion. Have small frequent meals at regular intervals; instead of 2-3 major meals have 6-7 times a day.
- Fiber takes extra time and effort to digest, so prefer low fiber foods.
- Have low fat foods as high fat diet causes delayed stomach emptying. But you can include calorie and fat rich liquids like milkshakes in small quantities.
- If solid food is a problem you can mechanically mash the food or have it in puree form.
- You may need nutrient supplements like calcium and vitamin B-12 as gastroparesis interferes with digestion. Consult a specialist before starting any multivitamin tablets for correct dosage and timing.
- Drink plenty of water as gastroparesis can cause repeated vomiting which can lead to dehydration.
