Health benefits of vinegar

Vinegar has healing properties and regulates blood sugar levels in the body. Though it is yet to be proven that vinegar contains nutrients and medically beneficial substances, it may contain phytochemicals, which are also found in plants. These chemicals have yet to be identified medically but they might be responsible for some of the healing benefits of vinegar.

Vinegar might also be performing a supporting role by helping the body fight ailments like osteoporosis, heart disease and diabetes.

Drinking diluted vinegar (1 tsp in 1 glass of water) with your meals or before your meals helps the digestion process by improving body's ability to absorb the vital nutrients which are contained in foods. It is especially helpful in calcium absorption thus preventing the thinning of bones.

Add a splash of vinegar to your vegetables not only for improved taste but to make them more digestible. There are different varieties of vinegar available which come in various flavors. They can be added to your diet instead of salt or butter and enhance the taste and dietary benefits.

Vinegar is also useful in curing fungal infection by killing the harmful bacteria and its regular usage prevents bacterial growth. It keeps us fit by reducing our calorie intake and strengthens our defense mechanism.
