Remove fish bone stuck in throat
How do you treat a small fish bone stuck in the throat which was not detected by Xray? I tried using soft bread with peanut butter? Thanks.

I tried everything but in vain. After a day of dealing with it, I thought of taffy, couldn't find it in a store here. So, I used chewing gum by swallowing it - it didn't seem to touch it.
So, I used a long floss stick, put my gum at the end of it and stuck it down my throat. That did it. Hopefully, this will help someone else.
I was aggravated with it as it was located above my tongue, so upon chewed or eating it would scratch the tongue, no bleeding but the the sharpness of the bone was quite a pain.

Remove fish bone stuck in throat Sometimes bones stuck in the throat do not show up in X-rays, so it is possible that the bone is till stuck in your throat. But what can also happen is that the bone may have caused a small tear in your throat and what you are feeling now is the irritation from that tear and not the bone itself.
Since you say you have already tried swallowing some bread with peanut butter and that has not helped, it could be that you no longer have a bone lodged in there. Another thing to try is to make a ball out of sticky rice and swallow it whole. The ball will have to be big enough to be somewhat difficult to swallow otherwise it will not work. The rice ball is heavy enough to carry the bone down with it. You can also wet bread and make a ball out of it but again the ball would have to be big enough for it to be a little inconvenient to swallow.
Hopefully, this is just a tear and will heal or your body will expel the bone in short time, otherwise you may have to visit the doctor again to see if he/she can get it out.
