I am suffering from fever for the past 3 days. I feel feverish in the morning then suddenly it will be gone then after that the fever comes back later.

Fever Advice and Natural Remedies

Fever is an elevation in the body temperature with other symptoms. Body pain, chills and headache are the common symptoms. Skin rashes, pain in the extremities and increased body temperature in a certain parts of the day is due to viral infection.

Consumption of contaminated food and water results in viral fever. It is also transmitted through air. Certain kinds of viral infections are spread through sexual contact or administration into the blood stream.

It is accompanied by reduction in body temperature, in spite of the infection. Analgesics and anti pyretic prove effective. Recover is seen to occur in a week, failing which a physician's guidance is recommended. Prevention of viral infections is difficult. About ten grams each of ginger and raisins are boiled in 200 ml of water. Allow it to boil, till it reduces to one fourth of its contents. This decoction is strained and drunk. Vegetable soups and juices are effective in speeding recovery.

Easily digestible bland food is recommended. Painkillers are taken under the advice of your physician. Place a cotton cloth dipped in water on the forehead, in case, the temperature is more than 102 degree Fahrenheit.
